El Peron bursts with flavor and tradition, drawing inspiration from the deep roots of Mexican culture. As customers have attested, the quality of food here is extraordinary. The tripe was expertly seasoned, beautifully complementing the soft frijoles and the airy crunch of the corn sope. El Peron doesn't just stop at serving delicious food; they elevate the experience with their homemade hot sauces, including a standout creamy chipotle that you must try.
Each dish is crafted with fresh ingredients, embodying the essence of Mexican cuisine. Mr. Earl praised the freshness, while other guests, like Josemon Raju, shared their delight in the high-quality offerings, from robust quesadillas to tacos brimming with flavor. Such culinary craftsmanship is not hard to find in this unassuming space.

The affordable prices further add to the appeal, making every visit a value-packed adventure. As Kaitlyn Hayes highlights, El Peron offers a welcoming atmosphere perfect for families—ideal for enjoying a night out without the bustling crowds.
In essence, El Peron is not just a restaurant; it's an experience that enchants the senses. With each bite, you can feel the love that goes into their dishes. “ Great food, beautiful owners and love their job. This brings out the best, I enjoyed it so much and will go back whenever I'm in the area. ”
“ This place is very lowkey but has some of the best Mexican food I've had not only in Connecticut but from NY as well. The flavor is so traditional and what im used to from growing up with Mexican food that it pops out immediately as not only authentic but balanced. I had the sope with tripe (beef stomach). I never ate tripe because I never liked the texture as a child but I wanted something different and it doesn't get anymore Mexican than tripe or lengua tacos so I gave it a shot on the sope. Im glad I did. The tripe was slightly chewy but seasoned really well and went with the soft and creamy, frijoles with the slight crunch and airy-ness of the corn sope. All the toppings are standard fare with lettuce, avocado, tomatoes, sour cream and Mexican cheese which naturally fit the dish but what I found really special was what was underneath. Im not sure if they bring hot sauce by default (cause I always ask ) but if they don't ASK FOR THE HOT SAUCES! They are amazing. I didn't get the rundown on what they were made of but they have Salsa Verde, Rojo, and a creamy chipotle type. All three were great but the creamy chipotle was exceptional and was what I used for the Torta that I ordered. Torta is a Mexican sandwich that I got with Pastor (pork marinated with pineapple and other spices). The sandwich was amazing. Bread was just right and the meat nice and juicy that also blended surprisingly well with the ketchup, mustard. Before I rant some more I also want to say that the prices are incredibly reasonable. Great food, good prices. Can't beat it. I will be back for more and this will probably be my regular go to for Mexican food at this point ”
“ You can taste the Fresh ingredients! They have some the best home made hot sauces i've ever had. ”
“ This is solid , high quality food. Just had their quesadilla and it's nothing like the typical . Had the beef, chicken, and Al pastor tacos. All delicious. This is better than 90% of the taco places you'll go to. So stop over and try it ”
“ This place is amazing. I love their salsa trio and chipoltle camarones and I love that most people order take out, meaning I get to bring my kids there and we have the place to ourselves. It's perfect! ”
“ Very tasty. The soups are great and flavorful. The coffee is spectacular and the tortas are delicious ”
“ I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the staff was and completely blown away by how good the food was. To top it off, the prices are reasonable. Ask for their specials. In my second visit I had a shrimp stuffed poblano dish that was to die for and was not on the menu. ”
“ I was out of town and tried here. The alambre was amazing. And the horchata was great too. If I'm back out in that area, I will go there again ”
